A place for everything, and everything in it's place. Maybe now I can sit down to work without having to get up 550 times because someone stole my single hole punch from the junk drawer!

Okay, well, I may not manage to update everyday, but I'm trying...really I am! Here's what's making me happy today...
My daughter's first sewing project, made on the sewing machine she received from Santa. It's a pillow for Baby Suzie, her favourite doll.
Now if I could just get her to make drapes...

Ooops
I did actually take a picture yesterday, but I forgot to post it. So, without further ado...
I made new drapes for the kitchen window. I love blue and green together. I love kitchy paislies. I actually hate making drapes, but I like how these ones turned out, so it's a tradeoff.
I also bought some yummy turqoise fabric with which i will recover my kitchen chairs, which are getting pretty gross.

Things I love...
Inspired by Dusti over at PMs, I'm joining her "Things I love" challenge. The challenge is to post a pic of something that makes me happy, every day.
So...you're expecting a picture of my family? A pastoral nature scene? A fancy car?
Nope. The thing that makes me happy today is:
My fantabulous new can opener. After three useless, broken cheapo models purchased by Yours Truly, DH gave me this one as part of my Xmas gift this year. I could go on about how wonderful this can opener is, even for a lefty, but I won't bore you. Suffice it to say I managed to open a giant can of coffee this morning easily, effectively, and without cutting off a finger on a jagged edge of tin.
